Tim began singing when he was old enough to sit in a church choir pew. At age 11, he had to stand on a pop crate when his family recorded their first stereo long-play album. Shortly thereafter, he began playing acoustic guitar. He taught himself to play piano in high school on a school piano because he didn't have one at home. He began playing piano for the family in 1978. Tim worked as a DJ in the Pikeville, KY area for several years. During that time, Tim worked with local talent because he believes in that Eastern Kentucky has the best in the country. One day, a dear friend of Tim’s (who has since passed away) told him that it was past time to do something for himself. So after almost 40 years of singing and playing music with his family, Tim only recently started playing out on his own. Tim plays 8 different instruments and has a very wide vocal range. He has played at the Landmark Inn Hotel to a sold out house every night and tours through the summer, playing various festivals and concerts. Tim has opened for several major recording artists such as: Kenny Chesney, Billy Ray Cyrus, George Jones, Marty Stewart, Confederate Railroad, Martina McBride, Neil McCoy, Exile, Diamond Rio, and many others. Tim was a regular guest on the TNN Show, "Picking At The Paradise", and has played on the Grand Ole Opry several times. He was also a contestant for the TV program, "Nashville Star" and a contestant for the Colgate Country Showdown. In 2005, Tim recorded his first album, "A Night at the Top", featuring some of the best material from his live performances. Tim's new projects are entitled, Riden Hard which will include all up beat fast songs, Midnight Blue which will include all slow love songs and Heart Filled which will include all country Gospel songs.
